About the event
Introduction to Horses
Have you always wanted to spend time with horses? Learn about them, be with them, groom and learn how to lead? Then this is the class for you!
What to expect:
- What are horses all about?
- Communication using body language and energy
- How to approach a horse
- How to halter, lead and groom
- How to develop a basic relationship and walk together through an obstacle course
This class is on the ground only, no riding is involved. The horses you will meet are all Icelandics, between 13 and 14 hands tall. No prior knowledge of horses necessary - this is really for all Newbys!
Number of participants is limited. Registration required, full payment is due at registration. Please send an email to annchristin.kloth@gmail.com to register.
Dress for the weather and the farm setting, wear sturdy closed shoes (no flip flops, crocs or sandals), bring a hat, sunscreen and water. We will be outside and inside the barn.
Class is taught by Ann-Christin Kloth (Certified Icelandic Horse Trainer, EAGALA Equine Specialist, Therasage Certified MassageTherapist).
